— Hunters Hill House

This home is perched on a half-acre corner block in a quiet stretch of Hunters Hill. The project involved major alterations and additions to transform the existing tired residence to the luxurious home it is today.

EDM navigated the design process by coordinating the interior designer, structural engineer, architect and services consultants.

This complex and technical refurbishment saw EDM manage and coordinate over 150 suppliers and 70 specialist subcontractors.

Major structural demolition assisted in creating open plan living, the new structural works included working with concrete, structural steel and masonry type constructions.

These internal structural changes and additions made way for five spacious bedrooms and ensuites, two studies, a state-of-the art kitchen, scullery, theatre, sitting room, cellar, commercial kitchen, sauna, bar and new internal lift.

The external works included new landscaping across the block, complete render of the external house and fence, external stone wall cladding, feature ceilings to balcony, external limestone, a fire pit, copper roof and refurbishment of the existing pool. The house is fully automated, integrating the mechanical system, lighting, underfloor heating, fireplace & sauna.

As the majority of supplies came from overseas, meticulous planning and forward thinking was required to complete this project within 16 months.
