Evan has always been passionate about construction and building, deciding early on that he wanted to join the construction industry after completing work experience with Multiplex. 

Evan then graduated from a bachelor degree in Building Construction Management from the University of Technology Sydney. After accumulating over 15 years’ experience working on a variety of construction, fitout and refurbishment projects in both commercial and residential arenas, and a decade of those for leading Tier 2 construction firms, Evan then founded EDM Constructions.  

During this time Evan has been involved in the successful delivery of residential and commercial projects with a combined value of more than $200 million across the east coast of Australia. His commitment to the craft and teamwork has won him multiple MBA awards. 

To get the best result for a project, Evan strongly believes in solid early project team collaboration, including essential input from all key stakeholders — to be heard, understood, discussed, and then executed effectively. Evan drives a working culture at EDM that encourages and develops a sense of inclusion, fairness, trust, openness, diversity and respect. 

When Evan is not working, he loves to spend time with his family, playing squash or catching up with friends.

Sudeep Sapkota
Construction Manager

With over 15 years of experience working for various leading Construction & fitout companies both in Australia & South Asia, Sudeep has gained vast experience both on site & in office capacities ranging from estimating, site management & project management giving him a well rounded knowledge base.

He holds a bachelor in civil engineering ,is a member of engineers Australia, a qualified builder & hold a high risk work license.  

Sudeep has worked on project values up to $20M and his strength lies in effective communication , active listening, strong knowledge base & his result orientated approach .

He leads the projects & teams with a persistence to ensure client & design teams visions are brough to life in a fun and exciting way .

When Sudeep is not working he loves to travel around Australia with his wife and also plays weekend soccer

John Sleiman
Managing Director

John’s business philosophy ‘accept the challenge, build relationships, and exceed expectations’ is reflected in everything he does. His industry experience spans over 20+ years and his specialty lie in luxury residential, childcare centres and mixed-use developments. 

John’s passion for building and construction drove him to complete his first trade qualification at a young age. From there he progressed quickly within a reputable Tier 2 construction management company, becoming a Site Manager. He went on to successfully manage various commercial and residential projects of up to values in excess of $100 million. 

John joined EDM bringing a wealth of experience. He is a born problem solver, which he uses to adapt to curveballs both within EDM and externally with clients, while placing great emphasis on compliance and safety. His passion and hands-on leadership style are perfect for leading our project delivery teams in ensuring high quality, seamless construction projects for all our clients.

In John’s spare time, he loves spending time with his family and supporting his beloved West Tigers.
