— Earlwood House II
This 1920s bungalow possessed solid bones and period charm that the client wanted to retain throughout. The complete internal renovation involved a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry, lighting, new joinery throughout and conversion of the sunroom into an ensuite for the master bedroom.
The existing fireplace and mantle were restored to its original glory, and timber floorboards were retained and enhanced with a dark stain.
Externally, new timber bi-fold doors were installed to create an openness to the courtyard, while the sides of the house were rendered, and external wall panelling was used to clad the back portion of the home. Bluestone and tessellated tiles were laid to the external pathway and entry to complete the look.
